You and your employees may be concerned about the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, and possible loss of coverage. We’re here to help.
Your employees and their dependents can take advantage of our special open enrollment if they have previously waived coverage. If we receive your submitted applications now through April 15, 2020, they may be eligible for coverage that’s effective May 1, 2020. The following conditions must be met:
All previously waived employees must be offered coverage under the same contributions as employees already participating.
Enrollees must remain on the plan for the duration of the contract period unless employment is terminated or there is another qualifying life event for coverage changes.
The customer understands that accumulated benefits (deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums) will not be prorated.
All other medical coverage options must also offer this special open enrollment.
